Knot on my noggin’

note to self….when wearing your new glasses your peripheral vision can be impaired. Yep. Because of this I now have a bit knot on my noggin.

As I was leaning into the passenger side of my car to get something out for my youngest daughter I apparently thought I had ducked down low enough to enter with no injury done. But low and behold….BAM….goes my forehead against the top of my car. OH MOTHER F*CKER! This is what I wanted to say, but to my surprise my daughter was right behind me. So instead I said….OH….biscuit eater. WHAT? My daughter proceeds to ask…”what’s a buscuit eater”? I just told her that this was a better word than what I wanted to say. She says, “Oh, like OH PICKLE”? That’s right baby….OH PICKLE! So now today at work everyone was like OMG Carrie, what happened. Wished I had a better story to tell em instead of the truth. GEEZ. Pathetic I tell ya!

Does anyone know anything about internet gaming (sp?). Sorry, Hooked on Phonics did NOT work for me. But, apparently this is the new thing, or old, but new to me. It seems I am finding more and more people that do this and apparenlty it is addicting. Is this something I need to get in the mix of or what? I’m not sure if I’m “geek” enough to do it though. But always looking to meet new people so maybe I will try it out.

Today I have decided to back into fitness…..seriously this time. I use to run 3-4 miles every other day but I kinda got out of the habit of doing it when I went back to school and never had the time. But now the weight is coming back slowly and I need to grab a hold of it before it gets out of control. I did buy a treadmil and will start working my way back to running 3-4 miles but it will take time. My most concern is to firm this booty up. I mean I am getting older here and things aren’t as perky as they use to be back in the good ole days. I have been doing a little running here and there and some random workouts but wanted to get a set plan down. So, I paid $29.99 for 6 months of an online trainer. WTF was I thinking. After giving out my credit card info and got access to this “online trainer”, it told me nothing I really didn’t already know. PLUS, instead of giving me a meal plan…it makes me put it in myself. what the heck am I paying these folks for. One good thing is that it does give me the strength training planning system week by week for the next 6 months. that’s really what I wanted so I guess $29.99 isn’t much. Wished I could just have the time and money to go to the gym…that gives me motivation. Since I don’t, this will have to do.

Now, 2 years ago I was over 30lbs heavier. Wished I had some before and after pics to post here, but I don’t. It varies but I have only gained 7 lbs back since the lost but still, before I know it will be back to the weight I was and i don’t want that. Now if anyone has any advice or links or anything on this new workout plan, please, I say please, forward to me. I must know. My goal is to loose approx. 15-20 lbs. in the next 6 months. That’s only 2-4 lbs a month I would have to lose and I know this is possible. I just have to get my mind set on it and DO IT!

My last diet plan consisted of tuna (raw tuna, nothing added), chicken breast, cottage cheese, all fruits, salads and lots of water. It was really easy. I did eat alot of tuna and just not sure if I can go back to that. UGH…I like tuna, but evvvverrrrryyyydayyyy…..can’t do it again. And, of course, along with the good food, I worked out everyday of the week. Either it was running outside or in the gym on the treadmill then doing light weights as needed.

Now the gym was a motivator because:
1)everyone is there to impress so you have to put your game face on and do it too
2) I was dating, you know, He-that-shall-not-be-mentioned, and his ex-girlfriend worked out at the same place and so the days she was there, I pushed myself 3x harder than normal.
3)I was going on a vacation to Mexico….hello, they have nude beaches there…can’t go to the nude beaches looking like a fat slob….well there were some beached whales there…eww
4)had to get the skimpy bathing suits for the vacation so I had to have the body to get into them
5)signed up for a Triathlone I had to get ready for.

HOLY SHIT…the Triathlone…..I thought I was gonna die on the freakin 1000 yard swim. Never realized how swimming kicks your ass! That was the hardest part. Now the bike wasn’t easy either but still the swimming kicked my ass. I would love to do another one but you truely need to train for one of those things like a year in advance…..not like in 4 months with only, maybe 5 swims, for training. OUCH! I will work my way up to another triathlon one day but for the time being I will settle for like a 5K run and go from there.

Well, it’s late and I have my alarm set for a 4:30am dreaded awakening. ;)

4-EYEZ!

So now you guys can call me four eyes.  I got my glasses in yesterday and have been wearing them since then.  Since I am so hard on my eyes by wearing my contacts so long without even taking them out at night I decided to get eye glasses.  I mean heck, my one year supply lasted me right at 3 years, if that tells you anything at all. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I did get contacts too, but only a 3 month supply, which will last me what, a year. We should be good to go. These glasses are actually very comfortable to wear just I’m not really sure if I like em nor do I think I look that great in em. But what ya gonna do. Here’s a sneak peek….what do ya think? Bad? Good? Goofy? Dorky? What?

 

4-Eyez!

SO a BIG DORK huh.  That’s what I thought.  Oh well.  When going out I will for sure where my contacts.  CAn’t be seen out too much with these darn things on.  Makes my nose look HUGE!  WTF!

Well, right now I am acutally at work and should be spending my time working, since that is what I am here to do.  But, I had a huge meeting at lunch today and I just needed to take a breather and away from work for just a bit. 

Well tonight is going to be a big night for me, let me tell ya.  I am going to go, straight after work, to the lovely ole’ laundromate.  HOW MUCH FUN!  I love going there.  I am so thinking I am going to meet my future husband there some day.  Yeah right!  If that was the case then I better go find me a better laundromate then the one I am going to.  Not much to pick from.  But this is my own fault.  Instead of going and spending my extra cash wisely on a washer and dryer, I went and purchased myself a treadmill.  Now who has their priorities straight here?  Obviously, not I.

Speaking of treadmill.  I am using the crap out of it.  I am not the runner I use to be though, that is for sure. Well, never was really much a good runner anyway.  And running on a treadmill…SUCKS ASS! It’s just so boring.  This is my only choice right now for staying in shape.  So, the treadmill will have to work for the time being.  I’ve been pretty good for the past 2 weeks using the crap out of it.  Only running between 2-3 miles each time but its a start. 

Anway – I guess I will get back to work.  Still have 2 hours left to go.  WOOHOO!  Till the next posts – PEACE!
