NADA!

Not much to really write about. This weekend was really uneventful to say the least. Friday night I just came home to a mess at my house to try and clean it up and try my best to get the cabinest painted and doors back up for the party on Saturday. which I will have to say, I was not successful in doing so. I did manage to get the house cleaned but the rest, not so much.

A friend of mine did come by to see me Friday night. I haven’t seen his ass since freakin 10th grade. We use to hang out all the time but as we got older we kinda went our separate ways. It was nice to catch up. We stayed up till almost 6 in the morning and mind you I had to get up at around 830 on Saturday to go to ball games, clean, shop and cook for the party. I was TIRED!!! but it was really nice to just hang out and talk with an old friend.

Saturday was my housewarming party. It turned out pretty good, except it was FREEZING OUT! Was kinda hoping that we could have moved it all outside and everyone just mingle but it was too damn cold! I got lots of goodies! Mainly got gift cards to like Pier 1, Lowes, Home Depot and Wal-Mart but heck need em all. Can’t wait to go spend lots of money that is not mine! WOO-HOO!!!

Saturday night I didn’t do a damn thing. I sipped on wine all day long, and then went to my daughters ball tournament and by the time that was done i was ready for bed. I had several of my friends calling me to come out and play but as much as I wanted to and needed to get out and hang with friends, I was too freakin’ tired. I think I fell asleep at like 9 if not sooner. HA! Sad sad deal I know!

Today I worked at the restaurant. I work every other Sunday when I don’t have the kiddos for a friend of mine that runs a local Italian Restaurant. They have brunch on Sundays and all the rich, blue collar folk come down for it and they tip GOOD!!!! I always dread to get up and go but I’m always glad once I count up my tips at the end of the day. I mean $120+ for 4 hours of work to only fill drinks and clean up dishes here and there. Not too bad. But damn it still is hard work and having to deal with some of those people, they can be so hateful I tell ya! But you also get to eat some really good food after its all done. That’s another good purke. MMMM….good stuff I tell ya!

See, what did I tell ya, BORING!!!! Sorry guys! Off to bed now. Ihave to get up at 430AM to get fit! OOOO….can’t wait!

Put back together!

OMG! The kitchen is some what put back together….THANK GOD! It’s been driving me insane seeing the mess that I was creating. But it is finally put together and cleaned up alot! I’m still not totally done yet. Still have the cabinet doors, front door, closet door and just some touch ups here and there. For the most part, I’m done though. I will post new pics once the whole job is complete!

Went today with my parents and my girls and ate breakfast then off to Lowe’s for a lawn mower. I must have when you are an official homeowner and have your own lawn to take care of! I’m excited. Kinda silly to be excited over a lawnmower huh. My brother got it for me for my birthday and a housewarming gift. How kind of him.

Well the Easter Bunny is coming! Kids are off to bed and I got to play the Easter Bunny. I laid out their little cute purses and stuffed em full of candy and laid out their clothes, bathing suites and flip flops out. Sad thing is the freakin’ Easter Bunny gets credit for it. GEEZ!

Anyway, I’m tired. It’s been a loong day for me and it’s time to get some rest. I have lots on my mind to write but I will save it for another post when I am awake enough to type it.

The Painting Continues

Well today was a better day on the painting project. It had a rocky start though. Today I come home to a mess that my cat accidentially made with the primer….and mind you it was oil-based primer. It was all over my kitchen floor and apparently you can only get that up with paint thinner. I had to take a 1/2 day off to get this cleaned up before the girls got home. I wanted to smell of the thinner to clear out some before they had to come home to it.

After we got the mess cleaned up I acutally got a lot accomplished tonight. I started getting some of the green paint up and a lot of the priming finished as well. Now, the green at first looked like baby poop but I think, or I hope, that once the job is done and everything is put back to normal it will look great. It did dry a little more like I was expecting so I am sure it will all come together just fine. Here are some pics of the before and where I am at right now on the kitchen.

As you can see I still have a ways to go before I am finished but I am sure I will love it in the end.

Although I am finding more and more things that I am going to need to buy or replace which only means going more into debt but that is fine. I have decided on getting more into getting this house done the way I want instead of going out all the time and playing with boys. Who needs boys anyway?! Look what I have done all by myself with no boy around. I think I can do it. Now, for girlfriends coming over and having some drinks while we do some of the painting….that sounds like a good plan Ranna.

Well that’s it for me today. The next post I do for the kitchen will be pics of the finished project. I can’t wait!!!
